This seminar is designed for the both the beginner and the experienced trainer. Ken will share information about the science of learning theory, but more importantly, he will explain how to use those principles in practical every day applications. Ken’s seminars are full of practical and useful information for trainers at all levels and are designed to be both fun and inspirational. Why Training Matters – An introduction to the non-trainer or basic beginner to the field about the philosophy behind having a training program with your pets. Training 101 – A Practical Look at the Science– A broad overview of operant conditioning and how to apply it in practical everyday training programs. Reinforcement Strategies–This seminar delves deeper into many topics, including a discussion of what is a “positive reinforcement trainer” and what are the basic reinforcement keys that all trainers should keep in mind. A significant part of the seminar will focus on non-food reinforcers, reinforcement variety, and evaluation of reinforcers – with particular emphasis on the importance of strategic implementation of any new reinforcement plan. This is a core competency for trainers at all levels and this seminar is suited for all training levels. I hope some of you fellow dog-lovers might be interested in our new book, Todo in Tuscany. His owner had died a couple of years before and he refused to leave so became our dog and we adored him. 12 Yard Productions are making a brand new series for ITV2 called ‘Top Dog Model’ which will bring together the glamorous world of modelling with Britain's love of dogs - it will be a fun, stylish, mainstream entertainment show in a primetime ITV2 slot transmitting this autumn.
We’re putting out a dog whistle to the 8 million UK dog owners and their pooches – from Labradoodles to Lurchers, perfectly preened to superbly scruffy, everything in between and beyond. We want to include dogs of all types – mongrels, rare breeds, cross-breeds, whatever! All shapes and sizes are welcome but it’s not lovely looks alone that will crown our furry favourite because personality and star quality will need to shine through too! Prized pets will go head-to-head through a series of special modelling challenges and feature weekly eliminations by our panel of judges who will analyse the hounds’ hottest headshots and eliminate the weakest performer, ultimately leading to one lucky dog being crowned the country's Top Dog Model and possibly becoming the new face of a major brand. my female pit bull was spayed 2 years ago, my males are acting like shes in heat even smelling where she has been sitting and laying. I s there anyway that it wasnt done right. I need answers soon, she lives inside with my male and hes driving her crazy.
