Did you get a chance to check out the page on Cockaliers? One of our fellow wikiFido members posted pictures of her little cutie up--Darcy. What a doll! Take a look when you get a chance, and check back often, as hopefully there will be more info soon on Darcy & Cockaliers.

Hi my name is Misty I have a cockalier her name is Daisy she's 9 months old and black and white she is adorable we also have a cocker spaniel named Cassie. Daisy has a temper when it comes to her food but other then that she is sweet and adorable. If your planning on getting one I would suggest not having another pet because ours does not want to share anything.

Awesome, another experienced Cockalier person! If you have any more info that you could share about the dog, could you take a crack at editing the Cockalier page and adding it to the main page content? That'd be an enormous help to others searching for info. Also, you should add some pages for your dogs so that others could see examples also. That can be done under My Cockalier and My Cocker Spaniel. Thanks!

We have a 3 1/2 year old male neutered Cockalier. He has cocker hair--does shed, mats easily. We have him groomed about every four months. his temperment is wonderful and he is not aggressive at all. He weighs 33 lbs. at his checkup in August which is a little heavy for him. He does have a docked tail like a cocker, which of course, was the breeder's choice not ours. His body is blockly like a cocker rather than thin like a cavalier. He is very smart and also very obedient like a spaniel should be. My friend has two purebred Cavaliers and one is a little standoffish but the other is a lovebug like my cockalier He is good with our old cat, all of our kids from 7 to 20 and also the younger kids in the neighborhood. he was easy to housebreak as we have a dog door. They can be barkers but we have a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. We have had two siberians, which were alot larger and very independent and not very well trained and hard to train and a aussie/border colliie cross who was also a great dog. my husband who always wanted a husky and was not too thrilled when i told him about a cavalier cocker mix--not even knowing they had a name!- but i think he likes the dog too. i am very happy with this dog. his only fault is a fear of larger dogs except his best friend who is a nova scotia duck trolling retriever but i put this down to being attacked by a lab at the off leash dog park. you do not say where you are from, but our cockalier came from sterling, colorad. the breeder advertised in the denver post. Hope this helps!

Great info! Any chance you could add this to the Cockalier page? If you click EasyEdit when you're on the page, you can edit the page content and post information about the mix. Also, if you create a page for your dog, you can share more specifics about your dog's temperatment, etc. That'd be awesome! Let me know if you need help.

We have a 3 1/2 year old female cockalier, Ginger, who is the best! We have had 3 purebred cavaliers prior, and Ginger's health has been incredible in comparison. She is much sturdier than a purebred, but has the same sweet and snuggly temperament of a cavalier. She is truly the best of both breeds. We are actually looking for a cockalier puppy (we are in maryland) if anyone knows of a reputable breeder. Our beloved old cavalier Shelby recently passed away at the very old age of 13 and Ginger is a bit lonely and depressed (as are the rest of us). But we highly recommend the breed to anyone looking for a sweet family pet.

I have been desperately looking for a cockalier puppy - and have had the hardest time finding a breeder. I will have it shipped to us -- it's just been impossible to find a breeder. Does anyone know of any breeders who specialize in this hybrid?

I've noticed that there are a lot of people out there looking for particular dogs...So I just started a new page titled Dog Match, where you can put up your request...maybe jump on over and put something up...It's just getting started, so let's see how it goes!

We got our 5-year-old cockalier as a rescue dog three 1/2 years ago. We knew she was a cocker/cavalier mix, but had no idea she was an actual breed. We feel so lucky to have her. She's the first dog we've ever had and she's been wonderful--a very, very sweet dog. She does, however, shed a lot in warm weather.

I have a one year old male cockalier. He is the best dog!! He is full grown- about 22 lbs. Sheds a little- but it's worth it. He is very loving and cute. He loves his family and is very well behaved...I highly recommend!! I plan on getting another puppy soon.

I have 2 yr. old Cockalier and he is the BEST! I have never had such a loving dog. He loves to cuddle and likes everyone and dogs. I had a Cocker Spaniel and I think having this mix is the best of both worlds. Charlie does shed, but who cares? He's too cute. He has a body like a Cavalier (skinny, long legs and tail) with the bleinheim coat. His face looks more Cocker than Cavalier. He weighs 25-30 lbs.
I highly recommend having a Cockalier. Love my little Charlie Bear!

We have a two year old Cockalier who is the most perfect pet imaginable. We also have a 1 yr old baby, and the two get along fabulously - even though Bradley (the dog) was our first. Bradley is obedient, loving, playful and eager to please. I work from home so he is my little companion. He loves everyone, and sleeps at the foot of our bed each night. He's also very protective of "his" baby - never aggressive, but strategically places himself between anyone he doesn't know and the baby when they first walk in the door. If we decide to get another dog, there's no doubt this is the (mixed) breed for us.

I purchased my Cockalier, Ginger, almost a year ago. My first dog, and wasn't sure what to expect. She is absolutely the cutest, sweetest dog! She loves people and all dogs (big and small) and cats. She is extremely smart (knows her toys by their names). She can be somewhat of a barker sometimes, and does shed (but like someone said, who cares). I would highly recommend this hybrid breed. Oh, and she's a snore-er! Too Cute!!
