During the week, I get to run. Being a typical husky, I can't be trusted off leash anymore (I run off looking for something to hunt), but my owner has a device called a springer on the side of his bike that he leashes me to, and I like to pull and run beside the bike. This winter, my owner has also started to harness me to a towline, and let me run and pull from the front of the bike through the forest. He calls it bikejoring - you can see me bikejoring on the video here! I have to be good and follow his commands to turn and stop. Sometimes though I see a squirrel or rabbit and pull my owner off the forest path! On other days we go jogging together - harnessed to a canicross belt around my owner's waist. We are going to enter our first canicross race next February, so we are training for that event. We also have a blog called The Bikejoring Blog. I like to play tug, and with my favourite rubber toys, but I think that retrieving is silly - dogs do that, not this husky! I like paddling and drinking in rivers, and looking for a chance to try to escape from my owner and go hunting. I like digging holes, and digging up molehills. I love running and pulling a bike or my jogging / hiking owner. I like to explore and have ADVENTURES! Above all, I dream of hunting - rabbits, cats, deer, squirrels, and birds. But my owner always shouts LEAVE IT! I have selective hearing....
