Hi. My babygirl (chipoo) passed away 3 months ago. As traumatic as this was for me, it has been a nightmare for midnite, my male chi....They were two peas in a pod, unseperable. Now that babygirl is gone, midnite has been racked with grief, making himself sick physically and my vet says he will get over it....He used to be a really upbeat playful pup....He is a year old Halloween and since her passing, he has become very attached to me...He cries every day, (not just the tearing up chi's have normally), he throws up alot, sleeps alot and spends 80% of his time searching for babygirl....He is angry at babygirl's sister, curlysue and will not play with her at all except for when she was in heat...He bites her and is very under me all the time....He refuses to sleep anywhere except in the bed between my husband and me....He follows me to every room and if I'm washing dishes, he sits or lays next to my feet so long as he is touching me. I think he is also having separation anxiety but the vet keeps saying, just wait, he will get over it.....Isn't 3 months quite along time to be this bad?? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
