 ------------------------------------------------MORE ABOUT ME... Hi, I am Maximus, and I love my girls Zeva and Princess. My mom goes by the name of Max's mom or mm. We are all strays of some sort. Zeva was due to be euthanized the next day, so mom and dad took her home that night. She is our pack leader, the alpha dog. I was brought home as a little 3 pound, dirty puppy, full of fleas 3 years ago, by mom's friend lynda, while dad closed all the little wholes in the fence, so that I would not escape. I came from Shiprock, and wandered into the Central Consolidated #22 conference Center, during a meeting and ate 3 donuts. I was brought home as a friend for Chance, my side kick for 10 months, until he passed on from old age. Zeva was brought home for me, the next week, because I was sad after Chance passed on. Princess came home 8 months later, for Christmas. She was a stray also. She came home (again with Lynda's help) weighing in at less than 40 pounds, and now weighing 60 pounds. Most at Newcomb Elementary believed that she was a Pit bull mix, and would not take her home. It turns out that she is a German Short Haired Pointer black and white. Zeva does not like her, so they are kept separate, but both are inside dogs. Princess is the love of my life and saved mom's emotional life.  Mom is a stray of sorts also, she lives a long ways from family, which prevents frequent visits. She is retired due to a disability and depends upon us for everyday companionship and a need to give us care, including brushing, exercise, feeding, bathing and even nail trimming. Mom is good at those things and we like it.  Now we are her family, along with her husband, father, mother 3 sons, 5 grand children and grandmother, on her maternal side.
