Urgent: Rescue needed for rat terriers 1, 2 and 3 year olds
Mar 12 2009, 10:41 PM EDT
Hello,Thank you for the information you provided. I have contacted www.ratbonerescue.com. Hopefully, they can help with the situation. I am really disturbed out this as my friend was only convinced that she had too many animals when one of the males killed one of the youngest pups. Thankfully, she saw the light. The situation is dyer as we are afraid that there might be other kills. All of the animals were veted upon birth and all have received their shots. None, thank God, are ill. However, as you might imagine, you can smell the house before you get to the gate of her yard. A visit from the city was made to their home and none of the animals were taken. They had plenty of food and water (I had just taken them a 40 pound bag of dog food the day before) and none of the animals were physically distressed. Again, thank you for your interest and suggestions. I plan to keep in touch with her. Just FYI, they are a married couple who cannot have children, hence their hoarding behavior. The girl's mother lives with them so that she can be there to babysit the animals. Kind Regards, Terri |

Dear Terri. it's been a little over 5 months since you sent me this message. How has it worked out? It usually takes time for some problems to be solved, and some are never solved. Has your friend reduced the pack and is the area cleaner and quieter? Was the rescue org able to help out? I wish you the best in your efforts to help your friend and the dogs.
