I joined this wiki because:I want to make a difference The best word to describe me is: Dog Obsessed Interests: Border Collies, other breeds Favorite movies: Nothing that highlights a particular breed of dog - it usually precipitates a flood of "breed of the week" puppies and people getting a dog for the wrong reasons. Favorite TV shows: Coronation Street, Extreme Makover, Home Edition (keep hoping that Ty and crew will appear at my dilapidated front door) My hero(es): Lorraine Houston and Rob Goddard My superpower is: Able to leap into action out of a dead sleep when triggered by the sound of a dog throwing up. If I could live anywhere, it would be: Somewhere dog-friendly, with lots of open spaces, cable, high speed internet, and a Hot Tub. My dream job(s): I have it. I just have to make it profitable. What else you should know about me: I run Southern Ontario Border Collie Rescue. I spay and neuter every Border Collie that comes through here, and then find them appropriate homes. If you are interested, I will talk your ear off on the subject....if you are not, I will still talk your ear off on the subject! No one chooses the hand they were dealt, and few of us can claim to be perfect. Few people end up with perfect pets, but we love them with their flaws, and they forgive us for ours. The hardest part of loving our pets is that we usually outlive them, and have to know when they are telling us that their suffering is beyond relief. Being there for them, being the last person they see in this life before slipping away, is the hardest thing in the world to do, but also the last love we can give them.
