Because the site operates as a wiki, the content is always changing, with individuals adding and editing information. In addition to being organized by breed, WikiFido.com allows individuals to search on topics such as puppy training, veterinarians, even ugly dogs. Throughout the process, visitors are encouraged to contribute opinions, stories and photos.

There are few areas of life where people's passion quotient ranks as high as in relation to their dogs -- our beloved canine companions are family, plain and simple. What's more, they are family we actually like.

wikiFido was created so those who are passionate about dogs can connect with others in a community that promotes the collective wisdom of their knowledge, opinions, and experience. From the all-important process of choosing the right dog to the indispensable best-practice training, healthcare, and grooming advice you can only get from a fellow dog owner who has been there, wikiFido can be your trusted resource for every adventure along the way. Our goal is to create a collaboratively built storehouse of information that's interactive and ever-growing to help all dog owners care for their beloved pets in the best manner possible.
