Afu the Pug
Afu is barely 1 year old, and was born in 26th August 2005. His addition to our family has proven to be a joyous one.
Afu, like what the books will tell you, has a mind of his own. He chooses his place to sleep, his activities, and his time for meal, and whom he wants to play with.
Nonetheless, Afu is a child at heart, and seeks company from his human counterparts. He's always
(acting) clumsy, and makes a fool out of himself. He loves to play with small insects, and is still curious
about everything that is happening around him, even after nearly 1 year.
The ONLY trouble with pug is its fur. I'm not sure if its seasonal, cause some reading mentioned 'seasonal shedding'. We live in Singapore, and the weather is hot and humid throughout. So, Afu has been shedding whole year through. DON"T BE FOOLED BY THE SHORT COAT.
All I can say is, there is so much joy taking care of Afu.

He is a doll. I love the photo. And NO the shedding is not seasonal. It might be worse in some seasons however they shed ALL the time. Even the black ones shed all the time and just as much even though people think they do not. I have 3 and know this as a fact.

I totally agree with you about the shedding! I love this breed, and the only real problem that I see with them is the profuse shedding. I used to think, how much could a 12 pound dog shed? Now I know! Enough to make a new pug, on a weekly basis!!! Still, so worth it!

Do you have children? I'm wondering because my pug seems to follow me very closely around the house, and while she likes the kids, she doesn't like to get too involved with them... Do you notice the same thing or that he's chosen one person in the house to be his primary "person?" |
