Originated in Belgium, one of four breeds recognized under one name. Possibly derived from the German Shepherd.

square in shape, the Malinois is a steady dog. It is a large dog, weighing any where from 50-65 lbs.

Good temperment, always looking to be in on the latest action. Can be protective of family members. Over all very good. Strong work drive.
