As a boy, Ben Affleck desperately wanted a dog. Concerned her son wasn't responsible enough, Affleck's mother insisted that he walk an imaginary dog for a month to prove he was fit for dog ownership. After three weeks, mom still wasn't convinced and rescinded her offer. "Now I have five dogs," Affleck tells Contact Music. "I'm like the kid who couldn't eat sugar when he was young and is now 400 pounds."
