Short History of the Breed

The breed originiated in Bologna, Italy and is a member of the Bichon family. They are related to the Maltese, Coton de Tulear, and Bichon Frise.

Physical Description and Size

Temperament

Extremely sweet dog, loves to please and will do anything for your love and attention. They are very very attached to their owner. This is not a dog that likes to be left home alone. They get along well with other dogs, and doggy daycare is an option for people who work, but if you work full days every day this is not the best dog for you. They can be protective, and sometimes think they are big dogs. They do well with children.

Dog Care

This breed is high maintenance. They require a lot of grooming. Because of their size they do not need a fenced in back yard neccessarily but love exercise, daily walks are a must.
