Boston's eyes poke out from their head more than the average dog. With that, they are more exposed to the elements, causing them to be more prone to watering. Wind, dust, fuzz from toys, etc. You can get eyes wipes at any pet suppy place. It's just something that happens, but no cause for alarm.

Most Bostons will love to play and get excited when company arrives, and love children. But yes for the most part they would rather lay next to you and cuddle, sleep and just be loved. They are characters too. They love to sleep under the covers and love to always be with you. they tend to be insecure. So it is normal for your boston to not always be active. They are a breed that is special I hope you enjoy your friend cause that is what they really are.

There is a medium amount of shedding with mine, especially as the wheather changes. With a bit of training (of both the dog and your sons) :), Bostons can be great family dogs.

If you canhandle a strong willed dog, these dogs make a great best firend. I can also testify to their lack of ability to cope with extreme weather.
