Boxer Love! This is a featured page

My wigglyluvbutts. I got my first Boxer in April of 2006. He is 9 mos. male neutered flashy fawn (lower right). The boxer is a Wonderful Family dog! I think overlooked as a family type but this dog is so tolerant of my 2 yr old's behavior's and he sits through time-outs with my son. A loving gesture which makes a time-out "not so bad anymore because, hey he can play with the dog". He has completely won me over to the the breed. I just love him! He is the best dog I have had. He was house-trained in less than two weeks and he is wonderful with my kids! I trust him completely. I have been an animal lover all my life, I started volunteering at the Michigan humane society as soon as I got my driver's license. I also did small wildlife rescue and rebahilitation with D.N.R. up north. I moved to Arizona at 25 yrs. old then fell in love with a man and relocated to North East TN. We have two children. I love it here! TN is peaceful and blessed. This state lives in God's grace. My heart is home. Soon after we bought our house I began to foster pets until I could adopt them out. Once I fell for my boxer (breed I grew up with)"Tucker" I thought it would be fun to foster them.

Until "Lexie" came along from Knoxville, TN. She was home here, as soon as she arrived. There is just something in a boxer's eyes that talks to you. I do believe all dogs go to heaven, they only know to love and forgive their people. If only people would learn more from pets it would be a much happier world.
I no longer foster after aquiring a small farm of pets, I had to stop doing what I love. My husband supports our family of four and with each rescue things get a bit tighter. But I intend to make myself useful for the cause. Animals will always need our help.

Lexie my new boxer girl (top in pic) and forever pack/family member was surrendured by a loving owner against his wishes. She is eleven months old, brindle. She thinks she's the princess and is treated as such. She is wonderful! My six year old daugter walked her on leash last night 9-25-06, she was so gentle and didn't pull a bit. She rides in our Chevy Malibu great! Better than my trained two. I always take one of my dogs with me everywhere I go. I strongly support adoption! Spay/neuter also. Backyard breeders and Flea market sellers are not helping the pet overpopulation problem! Don't support them!!!! Find me one who isn't in it for GREED alone, and I'll apologize.
I witnessed a flea market sales woman offer a "for sale pet" to a big snake. when the snake refused it. She put it back up "for sale"-for profit's sake.
Take my newest boxer girl she's almost a year old and wonderful! Yes dogs come with their bad habits. She poops on my porch. But she'll learn not to with time. With patience and God all things are possible. If you don't have patience, get a house plant!

I also have a beautiful nuetered male Siberian Husky. Actually he has us. This is his house, yard and everything in it is his. He owns everything unless it's broken. He is very Alpha male. He is my BRAT! My husband actually picked him, we didn't do our homework and bought from a Poor quality breeder,it was cheaper. BIG Mistake!
His temperment is almost intolerable, but we love him still and he tolerates us. He growls as a way of life! He is very voicestruss. I don't trust him completely. I have a two & a six year old.My kids, he ignores basically and wants the same in return. I have two adopted fixed indoor only tabby cats, a ferret and four fixed dogs. My cats and my two boxers are the good pets. My husky and a min pin mix are my problem pets. My ferret is just silly and intermingles with everyone. He just likes to be alive!
Pets are comittments!!! Their life long. Not a convenience. I am tired of people turning them in like worn shoes. Irresponsible idiots! Get your pets spayed/neutered please, Especially cats since too many just roam our neighborhoods. And reproduce and reproduce and...

Thanks so much for posting your beautiful boxers on the site--did you see the homepage?

It's great to hear your story about your boxers, and your insights on the pet overpopulation problem. It is so devastating to see all these poor dogs suffer due to the lack of responsibility that some take out there! Sigh....

In any event, we are glad to have you on the site and hope that you will find many ways to contribute. Looking forward to seeing a picture of your husky also!
