While my Cockalier isn't from a formal rescue or shelter, I definitely RESCUED her.

Ladybug came from a situation where she was kept in the basement for 90% of her day. She was very, very abused and poorly trained. The person that she was with before me (who took her out of the abusive situation) swore that she was housetrained, but she couldn't have been more wrong. At approximately 2 years old, Ladybug didn't know the difference between inside and outside. After a full year of hard work, I am happy to say that she is now 99% housebroken. The 1% being for human error :)

She is honestly the sweetest dog I have ever known. She is very loyal, great with both of my small children, good with cats, dogs and strangers. I would highly recommend this (mixed) breed to anyone looking for an easy-going, loving companion.
