Short History of the Breed

Cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Miniature Poodle. In some parts of the world (such as Australia and Sweden) , they are also known as Spoodles.

Physical Description and Size

Cockapoos come in many sizes. The average cockapoo is between 12-20lbs.

Temperament

Sweet and affectionate, but their happy exuberance requires training. The "come" command is just about the most important thing that your cockapoo needs to learn.

Dog Care

Cockapoos are highly energetic and so they need daily walks and lots of running time. Like most floppey-eared dogs, they can suffer form ear infaction, so it's important to keep them clean.

Health Issues, Life Expectancy

Cockapoos are smaller dogs, as well as hybrids, and they are generally very long-lived.
