Conchita!Name: Conchita (we call her Chi Chi)

Breed: Chihuahua/Boston mix. That's our best guess! Most boxer owners we know think she is part boxer. Boston owners we know think she is part Boston Terrier. Amstaff owners think she is part Amstaff! Our best guess is Chihuahua and some unidentifed terrier. She has boxer coloring and chihuahua ears! Since she is a shelter rescue, we'll never know. She's our favourite mystery!

Born: Chi Chi was probably born in 2002 or 2003. She was abandoned at a shelter and rescued by the wonderful people at PetPets RescueIn Distress in Broward County, Florida.

General description: She is brindle colored with a white tummy and white socks. She also has a small white stripe on her nose!

Physical description and size
She weighs 1617 lbs.

Temperament Is very quiet, loves to walk, but tires when it is really hot outside. She loves to snooze during the day and wants to play at night! Very protective but not aggressive. Plays well with our cats.

Needs (exercise, grooming, living conditions, diet) Her coat is so short she needs virtually no grooming other than a bath every few weeks. We are introducing home cooked meals to her diet.

About us:
Chi Chi lives harmoniously with kitties and enjoys lots of walks. She also enjoys the dog park a lot and meeting new people.

Why Chi Chi? We wanted to adopt an adult shelter dog since they are the least likely to get a second chance. It was the best decision ever. She has enriched our lives so much!Conchita

What Fido likes: sneaking corn chips, playing with her Kong bone, taking naps, running around with the cats up and down the stairs.

Health issues
She had been mistreated in some way in the past and had a cherry eye, an eye problem common in small dogs. To avoid further eye problems, we keep her out of a lot of sunlight, which can aggravate her eyes.

Other dogs: Chi Chi has befriended various neighborhood dogs and likes to play with Stella, her "cousin". She is also very curious about the dogs she gets to see at Three Dogs Bakery in Plantation!
