How we met: We saw this picture online at petfinder.com and immediately fell in love with that face! We tracked her down at a doggy adopt-a-thon and thought she was wonderful. She came home with us that day. We aren't really sure what breed she is, but she definitely has the face of a Shepard and the coloring and body of an elkhound (stocky with short legs). We call her a Gerweigian Elkeard.
What makes my dog special: Darby is very funny! From her one floppy ear to singing in her sleep (Yes, she actually sings) she always makes us laugh. She has really blossomed in the few months we have had her. She is very devoted. She follows us wherever we go - even the bathroom! When we close the door she breaths under it just so we know she's there. We can always tell Darby likes someone when she head boinks them or licks their toes.
My dog's likes/dislikes:
Likes - Pig ears, chasing squirrels, cheese, little kids, sleeping, peanut butter, belly rubs, sleeping, riding in the car, eating cat poop, sleeping on her back, taking her toys outside and then back inside, hiding toys in her blackberry den, mom’s shoes, being chased in the backyard, and snoring
Dislikes - mediocre treats, when mom and dad leave, the vacuum, the hair dryer, crows that torment her in the backyard, and staying up really late (the girl needs her beauty rest)
