Your dog is welcome on these boat tours. The guided boat tours usually have 1-4 people and last at least 4 hours. There is also a boat that seats up to 12. You and your dog will be able to get off the boat and walk around at several different points along the river. You can customize your own tour by having a relaxing, laid back tour or a more adventurous tour which goes through a wooded wildlife refuge, stopping for walks along the river. They are open year-round, with springtime offering the best views of wildlife. Tours start at about $40. They also offer a cooler on the boat, so bring along your favorite beverage.

Michigan Renaissance Festival

Dogs on leash are allowed at this festival. Dates range from mid-August-September 25th from 10am-7pm. There is a fee to register your dog for the day, but they are welcomed at this dog friendly fair.

Drayton Plains Nature Center

Your leashed dog is allowed at this Nature Center and on the several miles of trails located along the Clinton River. The interpretive nature center allows leashed dogs inside the building. But there are many stuffed birds and other animals that might be tempt your pup, so make sure you keep him on a short leash! There is no park entrance fee.

Clinton Township Dog Park

This fenced dog park is located at the Clinton Township Civic Center. There is a fee for non-residents to use the park.

E-Z Dog Park and Training Center

This off-leash dog park is privately owned and includes a fenced dog park and an agility center. The agility center includes indoor facilities. Fees to use the dog park are $25 per month or $5 per visit per dog. The facility is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. The dog park is for dogs larger than about 25 pounds, smaller dogs may use the agility center. From I-96 west take exit 145 (Grand River) and turn right at the exit. Turn right on Hacker in 7/10 mile, and go 3.3 miles to the facility. Hacker will become a gravel road before the facility.

Orion Oaks Bark Park

This is a 7-acre fenced dog park with water, benches and picnic tables. There is a swimming area in Lake Sixteen at the Bark Park for dogs only. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. There is a park fee to enter Orion Oaks Park of $5 per car per day or an annual pass is available for local residents.

Lyon Oaks Bark Park

This is a 13-acre fenced dog park with water, benches and picnic tables. There is a separate small dog area. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. There is a park fee to enter Lyon Oaks Park of $5 per car per day or an annual pass is available for local residents.

Cummingston Park Dog Run

This is an unfenced dog run area located in part of Cummingston Park. Dogs must be on leash in all areas of the park that are not designated as off-leash. Dogs must be cleaned up after throughout the park.

Lockman Park Dog Run

Hines Park Dog Park

This 3 acre dog park requires a registration and that you sign a waiver before using the park. You may register at Wayne County Administrative Offices at 33175 Ann Arbor Trl in Westland. The park is open from dawn to dusk year round.
