Dog Rescue - Dogs & Dog Rescue

Did you know that everyday thousands of dogs cats puppies and kittens are killed in animal control shelters. Due to over breeding and those who do not spay or neuter shelters are over flowing with animals that are doomed. Some are killed via gas chambers which can take up to 30 minutes of pure hell before they die, others are put down using lethal injection while some endure the heart stick. The heart stick is a practice where a person stabs the animal in the heart with a needle. Most of the time it doesn't work as the person misses because the animal is still fully conscience and trying to get away. They should be sedated before this is administered, but that doesn't happen.. I am sure you can imagine how horrible it can be for the animals who go through this torture.

Please take the time to visit the site to left to see pets that are currently facing death right now.

Also check out the great dogs available from rescues below. Many of them were rescued from kill shelters and now need homes.

You may not think that rescuing one dog from the shelter makes a difference when so many are killed, but just know it makes a huge difference to the one you adopted.

Robeson County Animal Control is devistatingly horrible and the animals there need OUT. Most all officials in the state will deny every single allegation against Jeff Bass, shelter mgr, and his staff but too many arrows are pointing to the truth. We are in Washington and cannot get as many dogs out as we wish we could and are seeking any rescues that can please help us in the fight against Robeson and getting the cats and dogs out of there. If you have proof or know of an eye witness that has seen the horrors that go on here ranging from un-sedated heart sticking to dead dogs being left in their kennels for days at time, please contact us at pitbulladvocates@hotmail.com. We must encourage all to come forward and understand that in coming forward, you agree to NOT remain anonymous. Eye Witness documentation is all that can help us at this point as the State of NC has far too many government officials covering up this crisis. Though some of the allegations may be a bit exaggerated, I assure you, the goings on in this shelter are more than true. Thank you for your time :)
