How we met: I had been searching for the perfect canine companion in shelters and rescue groups with no luck. On a particularly unsuccessful day at the shelter, my daughter and I went to a Memphis puppy store just to look around. We walked in and there was my baby playing in a pen right in front of the door. It was as if he was just waiting for his mommy to get him! I took one look at his beautiful face and it was love.

What makes my dog special: He is the sweetest baby. His love is completely unconditional. Downey never leaves his mommy's side except to eat and go potty. He has a cute little white fish in the center of his black back!

My dog's likes/dislikes: Downey loves his mommy! Rawhides, underwear, his brothers, Elvis (a pound puppy) & Ozzie (a JackMinnie RussellJack) mix) and his sister, Maggie(a Llasa/terrier mix), food, and riding on the console in the car with Mommy!
Downey is leary of strangers and he is not fond of the inground pool for anything beyond a large water bowl!
