My dog's rescue story! He was taken to the local humane society by
his breeder who said he was the last of the puppies and he hadn't sold. He
was 14 months old and in good condition except for being too thin. Clean,
good nails, good ears, all vaccinations, etc. He is so sweet that I can't imagine
why the breeder gave him up. He is a little large for the normal Iggy so we call
him a biggy Iggy. He was so terrified at the shelter that they couldn't get him
in a cage. He was screaming like a girl. So they called me and asked if I'd
be interested and I ran, not walked, down there. I took him on sight. He's
my first I.G. and definitely not my last. I've had him for a year now.
About me: My sisters have dog rescue organizations and I help them some.
I have 2 Miniature Pinschers and 2 Italian Greyhounds that are rescued.
What makes my dog special: He is so loving and sweet. He is fawn and white.
Likes/dislikes: He loves peanut butter and I can get him to take any pill as long
as it's hidden on a piece of bread smeared with peanut butter. I haven't seen
any toys that he is interested in. I have a hard time keeping weight on my
Iggies. They are very cold intolerant and love to snuggle under the covers.
