I am looking for a Labradoodle that is low cost or free that needs a great home. I have a son that has allergies and need a hypoallergic dog. I would love to have one of these breeds. I live in New Jersey and can be reached via email roxie26@verizon.net. Thank you.

I am dying for a doodle - have been searching all of the sites I know of, but I won't buy - will rescue or adopt - any ideas out there about how to find one that's not from a breeder, or is it just impossible???? Thanks!

What a cutie Fairlie is... We also have a blonde Labradoodle. Everything said on the page about the doodle's seems to fit perfectly with our dog, except for the "normal" weight range - our male is 80 pounds at 10 months. He is an "F1" Labradoodle - bred from a white Standard Poodle, and a Yellow Lab. He's a sweetie - I would recommend a doodle to anyone!

Thanks for the update--wow has Fairly grown! It's interesting that Fairly is actually a 2nd generation Labradoodle...I'm not sure we've heard from many who have a 2nd generation mixed breed like that. Have you gotten a chance to look over the Labradoodle page? I'm hoping that you can review what's there and maybe add some new information or change things that you don't believe are true. Do you know any other Labradoodles, and if so, is there predictability in the mix?

I heard about Labradoodles years ago, and this year they got a big mention at Crufts. I also heard recently that Graham Norton (Irish comedian/TV presenter) has just bought one, called Bailey I think.
I love them, their expressions and their slightly curly, teddy bear-esque fur coat. Given their Labrador and Poodle blood, they should have great temperaments, and have the bonus of the allergy-friendly coat!

Now, it could be the shape of Fairlie's head, but he reminds me of Albert Einstein - that gleam in his eye helps too! I've had the pleasure of playing with a Labradoodle and he was a ton of fun.

I've seen a lot of dogs in my life but never one as cute as this one! I'll bet Fairlie's grand-gonny is really anxious to scratch his little belly!

He's quite a looker--much better looking than a straight-up poodle! Does he live at home with you now or is he still with the breeder?
