I would recommend Orijen for any dog. It is grain-free, and my dogs have great skin, coats, bright eyes, etc.

Our dog came down with cataracts & diabetes before I learned that occasional carbohydrate treats such as licking the empty ice cream bowl and fruit such as cantelope and watermelon were probably the cause. No more sweets.

no matter the brand, one of thee first thiings to try for a dog with itchy, sensitive skin and/or frequent ear infections can be to cut soy out of the diet... many high end brands are soy free. for supermarket brands, try pedigree.

Hard boiled eggs cut into small pieces make a great treat for a dog with a sensitive stomach.

I've heard that Science Diet is bad. I've also heard that Nutro is good. Anybody have experience with either?
