3. As a very young puppy, Shadow was dropped off on a lady's drive way - she kept deserted dogs in small cages in her backyard to keep them off the streets and fed them. A noble attempt, but not really what a dog's life really deserves. At 6 months, she talked my mom into taking him in, he was only 30 pounds. After a couple of years, and after my female puppy (she was caring for at the time) went into heat, Shadow became aggressive toward my mom's other male dog. That's how I got him. After a few more dog shuffles of our combined 6 (now just 5) dogs, I care for Shadow and the female puppy that he lusted for. They are inseperable!
