My dog's name: Gandalf

Hometown: Orange, Va

How we met: A close friend (Who also has a Great Pyrenees) called us after seeing in the paper an offer of a Great Pyrenees "Free to a good home." We called and it seemed like a good fit, so we met at the dog park the next day and Bella and Galdalf hit it off wonderfully, so we took him home.

What makes my dog special: Gandalf was bred to be a farm dog, but didn't work out. He was kept in a barn and neglected. He was adopted by the nice family who gave him to us, but they had to move after having him for 5 months. They took wonderful care of him and he arrived to us very healthy. He is a skittish, but we are working on that and since he is still a puppy, (15 months old,) we're sure he will mellow more as he gets older.

My dog's likes/dislikes: He and his person-brother are stuck together like glue. And he loves Cheez-Its. He's still getting used to being in a town, vs. at a rural home. After less then 2 weeks, he's already used to the trains and cars, so it's just a matter of time. He doesn't like his "Big sister" showing him who's boss, but dogs will be dogs.
