Greeley, Colorado
Greeley, Colorado home of University of Northern Colorado, much farmland, and a surprisingly good dog park!
Rover Run Dog Park is located off of F St just outside of Greely proper. The address is 5207 F St.
Directions: From I-25, take Exit 257A and proceed east toward Greeley for about 11.5 miles. Look for Rafferty's restaurant on your right as you come up the hill. Turn LEFT (north) onto 59th Avenue and proceed north to F Street. Turn right (east) and go about 8/10 of a mile to the park. It's on the LEFT (north) side of the road, with a huge parking lot.
The park has a couple of acres of fenced in land where dogs can run with no leashes. There are a few benches, one with a overhang for shade and several young trees growing. The park is actually a pretty nice setup but if you go on a hot day, make sure you bring your dog some water as there isn't any available on site! There are bowls set out for use but no water pumps or hose hookups.
On a busy day there may be 10-15 other dogs there of varying sizes--something for everyone!
Make sure you clean up after your dog--bags are available on site and should be put to good use for the good of every guest!
