We have an Airedale named Jackson, too!
Our Jackson is rather big for an Airedale. He tips the scales at 75 lbs.

Isn't that funny? How big is your jackson? Ours consumes the entire foot of the bed!

jackson is cute
"This is because you need to bathe him." To clarify, Jackson's a pretty clean-smelling dog. At least most of the time! And as an Airedale, he doesn't shed so he's a little cleaner around the house.

Nothing beats going for a run!
My favorite thing to do with my dog Jackson is to take him out for a run around Green Lake here in Seattle. The best time to go as it warms up is right after work, while it's still light out and there are tons of other people and other dogs out there. Jackson is an Airedale, so he likes to run like crazy around the lake, but I'm there to get to bump into friends, enjoy the outdoors, and get my own exercise!
What's everyone else's favorite thing to do with their dog?

Ella is gorgeous!
She's really beautiful looking. How do you keep her coat looking so good? I'm Jackson's dad (search for him on the site!). Jackson isn't able to keep his coat very clean - his is so wiry looking. Jackson is similar about the rain, too: he runs out, does his business, and then trots back - always right along the paver stones and never back through the grass. He's very particular. Say, how did you find WikiFido? It's great to have another Airedale owner here!

The noise...
"I have a pure bred beagle and she's almost a year old. Given I've not had her very long but I've only heard her make ANY noise about twice, much less the typical baying. I don't know, it might just be her. The noise she DOES make is dramatic sighs! :)" So funny! My dog Jackson (http://www.wikifido.com/page/Jackson+the+Airedale) makes these long throaty groans... he has a super deep voice and they'll last 10-20 seconds sometimes. He makes them especially long & loud after a long day of playing at daycare when he's so worn out. They sound like he's trying to say, "I'm just soooooooooo tirrrreeed!!!!!"
