" As for "cleaner around the house" - if I could get Ella to take care of her toys..." I've seen some dogs that actually put their toys *back* in the toy basket. Jackson won't do that either. I don't think that's much of an Airedale characteristic.

We got him from a litter born in Ellensburg, WA. Jacksons parents were house pets of a nice family there. When they had puppies, they posted an ad for them in the Seattle Times.

It took about until he was 8 months old before Jackson would reliably wait til he could get outside before he'd do his business. Now he can hold it for up to 11 hours if no one is home to let him out all day!
