We rescued Josie when she was about 1 1/2 old. She was being 'fostered' by a guy in Georgia that told us his training techniques were to 'beat them down'. Apparently this worked quite well on his Golden Retrievers, but not the Border Collie. She was completely covered in red clay and fleas. We took one look at her and took her home with us immediately to join our other Border Collie, Lacy.
Lacy passed away in 2007, but Josie is still with us 12 years later. She is a wonderful dog.
