luvaspen2 Fostering a deaf/blind aussie 0 Oct 31 2008, 3:38 PM EDT by luvaspen2

She seems to have SOME hearing and can see white shadows....knows touch commands such as "sit" "come" "calm down/settle down". We take her for walks tethered to our other dog who can see/hear; she works as a "guide" dog for Kelby. But Kelby is learning how to use a seeing eye dog for her; hasn't learned to trust another dog. Not aggressive, not spayed, laid back, cuddler, would love ONE ON ONE attention. Happy dog all around. Don't know how to post a pic of her. She's all white with feathery fur and pink nose.

She needs a FOREVER HOME since our current home can't handle a special needs dog PLUS two puppies that needs training and 5 young children. We don't have time for her but are currently fostering her. Things looks dismal for her since she seems to be unwanted due to her disability. She has a lot of LOVE to give. She whimpers and cries if she can't find you. She's often by my feet and likes to be NEAR you. Very trusting dog. She's a purebred aussie shepherd who is born deaf/blind due to merle to merle breeding and was found dumped on the freeway in WA state. She's now 5 years old.

Do you find this valuable?
