My dog's birthdate: Unknown (We think she was born in 2005.)
Hometown: West Allis, WI
How we met: After finally becoming a homeowner, I was on a mission to find a dog. I volunteered with a local animal rescue but hadn't met the right dog for our family. I started searching craigslist in the hopes that there would be someone out there with that perfect dog for us. She was coming from an abusive situation and was terrified when I first met her, but I knew when she gave my (then 7 month old) daughter a kiss between shaking like a leaf, that she was going to be fine.
What makes my dog special: Despite her difficult past, she is a sweet, loyal, laid-back girl. She's proof that even abused dogs can turn out to be great family pets.
My dog's likes/dislikes: She definitely likes her chew rope, her crate when she wants a minute to relax, going for walks, being around her humans and babytalk. (Ok, maybe talking to her like a baby is more my thing.)
She doesn't like......wait...is there something I'm supposed to write here? I guess she doesn't like the vet. Does that count?
