My German Shepherd Dogs




My dog's name: Lassie

Birthdate: February 11, 2003

Hometown: Northern NJ

How we met: My dad gave me Lassie as a birthday gift when she was just 3 weeks old. He had put her in a cardboard box covered in a blue towel. When I got home from school, he passed me an envelope with the words "Health Record" in bold at the top and under it spaces to put all kinds of facts including name, owner, breed, markings, etc. I got so excited I didn't realize that it meant that I now owned a dog so I asked "When can we get a dog?!" He just looked at me and said "Go to the upstairs bathroom." I was confused. I didn't need to use the bathroom. But he told me to go and when I got there, I saw a box on the floor. When I took off the towel, I finally saw what, or who, he had given me.

What makes my dog special: Lassie's left eye is a very light blue, while her right eye is totally brown.

My dog's likes/dislikes: My dog loves to get her belly scratched (what dog doesn't?) and she loves to take walks around my block. She also loves to play "fetch" though it's more of a game of me throwing the ball, her getting it, and then running away. Lassie dislike my neighbor's dog, Elvis, and, for some strange reason, absolutely hates lawnmowers.

Hometown: Northern NJ

Birthdate: October 27, 2007

How we met: Kimba was born right here on my property, in Lassie's special "doghouse" though I guess the size makes it the equivalent of a "dog mansion." He is the son of my older dog, Lassie, who turned 5 last month.

What makes my dog special: He is tall, dark, and handsome, and, unlike his mom, is very calm during his walks.

My dog's likes/dislikes: He likes to play fetch, but only with sticks, and loves to spend time with people. He dislikes being alone, and getting less attention than his mom.
