A beautiful page about our K-9 corps in the sand box, and the need to find homes for these wonderful dogs. During WW II, all the dogs that survived the war in the Pacific with the USMC went back to civilian life that included new wives for the Marines and then became patient baby sitters. Many went back to their old families without problems-many stayed with their handler or adopted by a handler's friend if the handler was killed.
