Nellie Keesha Betsy

Betsy was the first Keeshond we had. This is a little complicated, but Betsy was Keesha's puppy. Keesha was rescued, but she wasn't part of our family yet. We only had Betsy for about 4 months. She had a very bad heart murmur, and developed lesions on her bones. It was painful to her when we would even pet her. After Betsy died, I had to find another puppy, and that's when Nellie came to our home. Nellie is named after "Whoa Nellie" - and she lives up to her name. That same fall, we were lucky enough to have Keesha join our family. Keesha is a sweet, sweet girl who just loves to be loved.
Keeshonds are very intelligent, clever dogs. They love children and are very gentle. They are barkers - very good watchdogs. Nellie takes good care of the entire neighborhood. We have to be very careful to put ALL food out of reach. One time Nellie ate an entire loaf of french bread!
We live in Minneapolis. Nellie is almost 4 years old. We estimate that Keesha is 5 or 6.
