This is Oscar! He came to Matt and I from Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue. We previously lived in apartment complexes that were not pet-friendly, at least not dog friendly. Finally, we are in a community with hundreds of dogs and nearby parks and green areas (a rare sight in the city).
We traveled over an hour to pick up Oscar, who was going by the name of "Rhett" at the time. We thought our name was much more weiner appropriate! At 1:15am on Saturday, a crew of three vans just filled with dogs in crates -- they were going all the way to New Hampshire and came from Tennessee! -- drove up.
