Pamper Your Pet

Pamper Your Pet - wikiFido: Dogs, Dog RescueJust like people, dogs love to be pampered. Who hasn't spent too much time in the toy aisle at the pet store, looking for a trinket to treat our best friends? In fact, according to a recent 2007 Business Week article, Americans spend about $41 billion per year on their pets. To put this into perspective, Americans spend $10.8 billion on movies and $11.6 billion on video games. What does this mean? There are some well-loved dogs out there!

Other estimates reveal that 42% of all dogs now sleep in their person's bed, and that a third of all dogs receive presents on their birthdays. Canine couture has changed dramatically, and you can now purchase $30/oz perfumes and $225 trench coats.

Some other more common luxuries for your pooch:

  • A trip to the groomer can change a dog's entire attitude. Watch the strut when you go to pick 'em up.
  • A rawhide bone is the doggy equivalent of chocolate.
  • A squeaky toy is the doggy equivalent of a bouquet of roses.
  • Doggy day care is as much a treat for fido as it is for you.
  • When trinkets and bones aren't enough, consider having a photo taken. Pet photographers specialize in getting shots of fido at his cutest.
  • A relaxing vacation for you and Fido!
  • Birthday parties for Fido.

Shopping online yields even more treasures:

  • Sexy Beast - luxury grooming and haircare products (all hypo- allergenic and 100% vegan!) for all of the sexy beasts out there.

  • I believe that my son, Apollo an American Eskimo Pamper Your Pet - Dogs & Dog Rescue is probably the most spoiled because: We cook for him several times a day just like I would feed my children (actually he eats better than my husband and kids and No my kids aren't being starved) Don't even think about putting a plate of food in front of him, his food needs to be cut into bite size pieces and I have to blow on it so that he knows it is not too hot and then he is hand fed. He also goes out to eat at restaurants with us. We go places that he can go. He is never left home alone. My husband, children and I work our schedules so that someone is always with him or he goes bye-bye with us. (He sits in the front seat and everyone sits in the back except whoever is driving of course) He gets to go to the doggie bakery for fun treats although he loves my homemade pecan pie the best and when he wants one I will make it for him. Yes, he tells me when he wants pecan pie! What apollo wants, apollo gets including where my husband and I are sitting or laying on the bed. He has the most amazing personality, he will talk to us or yell at us too if he is mad at us if one of us happened to go somewhere real quick without him. First, he will cry because he missed us soooooo much and then he will yell at us. (I am not crazy, you would have to see it to understand) He is also so much fun to play with. He brings so much happiness and love to our lives, not just my husband and I but also our children who are 23, 18 and 15. I could go on and on about our baby but truthfully he is an absolute gift from god and we could not imagine our life without him. We spoil him and give him the best life we can because he deserves it! Pamper Your Pet - Dogs & Dog Rescue
