My Pit's name is Lexus and she is the sweetest dog. It's sad that Pit Bull's have the reputation they have. If I had room for another one I would get another in a heart beat. But we already have a Beagle and four cats also.

Unfortunately most pit bulls are animal aggressive to some degree. I don't think it's abnormal that they would want to kill a cat, especially if not raised with them from puppyhood. And I'd bet the Lab is acting by pack mentality- the pit bull gets very excited and stimulated from chasing the cat, so the Lab feeds off of it and joins in. Obedience training might help with it, but it's definitely never a bad idea to go through it with any dog.
