"Treat a puppy as you would any baby, never leave them out alone. Make sure that they have supervision when you are home, and a crate for their size, kept in a familiar place to sleep in and when you are gone. Get shots when age appropriate, and start training right away!"

Also, don't forget to treat your other dogs the same. It wouldn't be fair if you gave all your time and attention to the pup and forget the dogs you've had all along!
