Ruby
Name: Ruby (aka Scoobles, Miss Wiggles, Rubles)
Breed: Walker Hound
Born: We adopted Ruby 1 year ago. She was originally a stray, found at a bar in a small rural town and then brought to the local humane society. During her stray hold she was identified by a previous owner who did not want her back. Through him they learned she was 14 yrs old and had been a hunting dog. She was old, sleepy and we thought she probably just had a few months left - we adopted her so that she would be loved and respected for whatever time she had remaining. Well, 1 year later she's still with us - and we think getting younger! She goes for walks, runs through the yard and no longer sleeps all the time (although she does love a good nap!)
About his owners: Carmen & Sue - we live in Madison, WI.
What Fido likes: She loves her routines: breakfast, outside for pottys, runs back inside for her peanut butter treat and blueberries, and then stakes out her morning nap spot.
