Corona Heights dog run

This space is great as it has a pretty large fenced in area where your dogs can go off leash. Weekends are best as the pet owners are with their dogs. During the week, many dog walkers take their packs up there, which can be frenetic at times.

Alta Plaza Park

The north end of this park is an off-leash area. The park has great views of the bay and the city skyline and the first Sunday of every month is "Pug Day." When the weather is good, more than 50 pugs have been known to romp.

Fort Funston

Skyline Blvd./Hwy 35.
This is a large park with lots of off-leash space and good access to the beach. Lots of dogs around.

Golden Gate Park Dog Run

at 38th & Fulton Street.
Off leash and lots of water bowls for thirsty hounds.

Baker Beach

just a little south of Golden Gate Bridge, this park is dog friendly and has great views.

Ocean Beach

Great Hwy.
This beach is a mix of on and off leash areas. It has four miles of sand.

Golden Gate National Recreation Area

This park has 76,500 acres of land and water. Lots of great walks, but your dog has to stay on his leash.

Washington Square Park

This park is pretty small, but it's always full of dogs!
