Simple Ways to Help a Dog
Ways to Help a Dog
Even if you’re not in a position to adopt a dog, there are many different ways you can help a dog in need. All efforts count — the important thing is to get involved! Here are some ideas to get you started:Donate items to your local dog rescue or shelter
- Blankets to use as dog beds
- New/used leashes, collars, dog toys, crates, training equipment, baby gates, x-pens
- Dog food and treats
- Cleaning supplies
Donate money to your local dog rescue or shelter
- $50 can help spay or neuter a dog
- Planned giving—leave money to your favorite pet charity in your will.
- Fundraise for a specific shelter by setting up an online fundraising page! (www.firstgiving.com)
Offer Your Professional Services
- If you’re a trainer, donate time to help with obedience training.
- If you’re a vet, give a discount for your services for rescued animals.
- If you’re a groomer, donate your services to dogs awaiting adoption.
- If you’re an event planner, help dog rescue organizations with event coordination and outreach.
- If you raise livestock, provide access to your flock to train herding dogs!

i am in one hell of a situation i mest up and got into an altercashion with the cops and when thay went to ristrain me i started fighting and my dog bit me not bad but a worning bit because he dos not like fighting and will allway go tords the agreser to get them to stop. now after he nips at my leg the cops pepperspryed him in the eyes. from that he treaked and bit the cop that spryed him(she even sed that he never latched just nipet and let right off) so then right infront of me thay shot him in his face. right now he is still alive. now i know that i was the one that mest up that night not him and i iunderstand that i am going to have toget rid of him but, thay are trying to tell me that thay will drop my felony charge if i let them put him to sleep right away. As it stands right now i have the hed ladie from the spca up here on my side and trying to fight for me. all i am trying to do what ever i can to save my dogs life once agin i cant let him die he is way to good of a dog to let just be put to sleep. but allso on the other hand he is kind of mest up right now he took a bullit to the face from about 10 ft away and is still kickin just fine . thay cant take the bullit out right now but i think he is going to be def in his one ear and also some muscle dameg to his upper lip on that side. and allso he is not the same dog when im not around like all he dos is lai around and wont eat . idk what i am trying to do right now but i have 2 weeks 2 figure it out. but if someone might be willing to try and take him and give him a good home or someone that might hav advice on what i should do pleace get a hold of me.
