We just call her a bordercorgle!
Sophie came to our family in September 2000 from a local animal shelter where I worked. We had just lost our beloved border collie and Sophie was an adorable 4 month old pup with big airplane ears and afraid of her own shadow!Today she is 25 pounds and looks like a coffee table--regular dog body on short, little legs. Her job at home is to accompany me on every errand, patrol the yard for squirrels, and remind our cats about their manners! She also uses a big, bossy bark to move people around and let us know what she wants.
Sophie loves to visit Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue where I volunteer. Spending time on the farm with all the dogs has helped her to overcome so many of her fears and build confidence. She is MABCR's #1 fan!
