As you can see we have had five springers(all bench except for Daisy). They have been excellent family dogs. Absolutely reliable with small children. We call them "practice dogs" with anyone just learning to like dogs. They are loyal(never leave home), lovable and friendly. Great dogs.

I have a b/w English Springer Spaniel named Pepper. She is both bench & field bred. She is very intelligent, has a phenomenal nose and is the sweetest, gentlest dog. She's been around babies, toddlers, teenagers and adults and she's great whatever age the person is. I would recommend this breed for anyone looking for a family or hunting dog ~ as long as you have a large yard for the dog to run in.

I have a liver and white English Springer Spaniel named Angel, She is a field breed, She is the most lovable, sweetest dog. She is always at my side. She's great with children and older people, verry loyal. She is actually our second English Springer Spaniel, our first was b/w. Her name was Velvet, and we were given the joy of having her in our lives for 10 years. She developed tumours on her kidneys, and died of kidney failure. Velvet was high energy, and so is Angel, I would recommend this breed for anyone wanting a very loving dog, but they do need A LOT of attention, and out side time to run and play.

i have a springer called rielly and he is the most gentle loving dog you will ever meet. He has never bitten anyone and even tolorates my 2year old brothers teaseing. I definatly recomend this dog to first time owners! x-:D-x
