Several years ago, there was a bad car wreck and a registered Old English Sheepdog was lost by a family in Colorado. They were in the hospital, so the search began about 6 months later. They came down and convinced the TV stations to run a piece about the dog and the reward. They were contacted by a Mexican family that REFUSED the reward. The owners traveled down to Mexico-even though the rescue family offered to drive half way or meet them in El Paso. The dog was in perfect shape-had vet care-everything- The family from Colorado asked the other family to meet them half way a few months later. They had a registered sheepdog puppy for the smallest Mexican girl that cried. and cried. Maybe somebody kept your dog because they loved it too much to give it back. and it sleeps with a little boy or girl and protects them.
