Timbre Fiona of Washington StateMy dog's name:
Timbre Fionna, 10

Hometown: Seattle, WA

How we met: She picked herself for me out of a litter.

What makes my dog special: Personality, Charm & Loyalty.

My dog's likes/dislikes: She loves balls, rides, half-rack boxes and heeling. Dislikes; black olives and toys that do not move even after persistant mind-melding.

This breed is fabulous. They are tough yet sweet, goofy yet smart as a whip, playful and very loyal. They do take some work in the begining, but once they mature they are easy and tons of fun. They are "Working Dogs" so they require a job or parents that like to play.

Activities: Heelers are know for being very active and Timbre is a prime example. If there is a ball within 200 yards, she will find it and nudge it so as to get a human to make it fly. We always stayed stocked up on softballs as removing the skin from the ball is her untimate goal.

Timbre - wikiFido-Dog Breeds, RescuesSize: Timbre is up to about 70 pounds, although the Doc would like to see her a little lighter. She's rather large for her breed.

Body: Very muscular and stout. Strong with tons of stamina. She is starting to have some trouble walking every so often but handles the pain very well.

Tricks: Up (see picture), Laydown and Sit are the basics but she has proven to be much smarter than that. She will answer when asked if she needs to "go potty?", head for the door at "go for a ride?" and search like a hound dog when asked "where's your ball". She also herds the chickens, (especially if they are getting too close to her humans), and even herds me to the rig when it's time to go for a ride. Herding for her is running around a person or animal in circles while moving forward. It's a hoot.

It was love at first site when I saw my girl
Jumping and waggin her nub with the curl
My little red heeler always at my side
Herding me up to go for a ride

Frisbies and balls, tether of soft
squeaky toys, chew ropes or a coke box
She loved to play "Go get it Boo!"
Best get out of the way or you will go too!

Such a good dog, protector and friend
Played like a champ straight to the end
We burried her this morning, beneath the desert sod
Now our little girl is plaing ball with God.

Our Beloved

What a funny little fellow you are (actually, are you little? Hard to tell in the photo...)! So, you must be an Australian Cattle mix? Would love to see some more photos of you...you definitely have an interesting body make-up there...kind of like a big dog head, but a little dog body...I'd definitely like to see more of you!

What is a half-rack box?
