Training
While it is true that most Vizslas enjoy being trained and can excel in almost any activity (far beyond the field) it should be noted that they DO NOT do well under harsh, heavyhanded, or shock collar training.

Potty training
Thanks for your advice, I don't want you to misunderstand about the poor pup, I am not abusing him. I am defintely mad but I exegerated to be funny on the page.... Another thing is I strictly take him out to walk only and not for potty, I strictly use the training pad only as not to confuse him. I use crate training, and it only works in the morning, I try to use crate training when I am away for a few hours, but he would pee in the crate, I tried to confine him in the bathroom with the crate open and a trainingg pad near by, he would go in the crate and pee. Marni is actually quite intelligent, I am guessing he is mad when I am away and would go to the crate and pee. I know no one would believe me but I actually think he knows and purposely not urinate in the pad...because for 3 days in a row he would go to the pad by himself...well with some accidents..but he went, and now all of a sudden he doesn't stay in the pad or go near it. With the exception of #2, it's weird. Because it seems that he is a lot more consistent with #2 and would go to the pad...I just don't understand.
Another point I want to bring up is that, I get so many advice, alot of them pretty much the same, consistency, crate training...etc. patience....I just want to find out if anyone has any unordinary tricks...
I notice you suggest having fresh water for the pup at all times, which I totally agreed, but I find out from other puppy training manual that I should limit water intake as to control his schedule for potty. What do you think?
Thanks again.
