Trinity
Dog Name: Trinity. She was named by the people who kept her until we found her, because their other dog's name was Neo, like from the Matrix.
Breed: Beagle-Shepherd Mix, particularly German.
Born (Date/Location): We're not sure where she was born or how old she is. We've had her for about 2 1/2 years.
Was your dog rescued? Yes.
Tell his/her story: We, or at least I, was looking for a dog for a long time. It was difficult to convince my dad, but I did convince my mom. My mom and me were looking on petfinder.com one day, looking for female beagles or female beagle mixes, when we came across Trinity.
She was in Yakima when we found her, and being kept with another couple who had named her. Before that she was adopted or bought by her first owners as a puppy, but she was probably more work than they expected. She was tied on a four foot long leash to a tree all day, and we don't even know if she was fed and given enough water necesary. The neighbors called, thinking the same thing, and a man came by. He took her to a local pound, and called the owners to see if they wished to pick her up. They showed no interest, so she stayed where she was. But the wife of the man who had taken her there would not let there be a risk of her being killed, and decided to keep her until another owner was found. She was named, fed, trained, and given the care she needed. That was when we found her.
We had some friends that lived just down the street go and see her, make sure that she was healthy and tempered in a good way. She was, and they told us she would be smaller than we expected.
Indeed, on the cold spring morning when we drove a couple hours to meet the owners and pick her up, she was smaller than we thought. But she was sweet, even though car-sick, and was confused at what was happening. The couple that had taken care of her was a little teary eyed at having her go, but they knew that it was for the best. So now we have a little dog named Trinity.
What makes your dog special: My dog is special, but not gifted or extra-ordinary. She still likes to "visit" the neighbors, and doesn't always listen to commands. She doesn't know any great tricks, and she eats quickly and anything.
Likes/dislikes: She likes food, and being pet. She likes to run and sniff and play with big dogs. She doesn't like to be in her dog-run, and she doesn't like to be on leash. She does not like to play with small dogs, because she thinks that she is too good for them. Sorry Zoey!

Much better! Actually, that first one looks very similar to a series of pug pictures that a certain he-who-shall-not-be-named has been taking around this house! Same pose, similar setting! I think it's on Zoey's page...
Trinity, you rock! |

Hooray! We've finally got a visual on Trinity--but, in the dark? From a distance? Taken from behind? Not to be picky, but do you have a better picture?

Trinity sounds very, very special, her story certainly touched my heart. Love her " too good for the small dogs" attitude.
