This is a "great" tip. Most dogs are not born to be leaders and they welcome the opportunity to be part of a pack. So when you do find this wonderful dog, be sure to be consistent in letting the dog know that you are the alpha and that he/she is part of a pack. All family members should be see by the dog as the pack leader. This makes a much happier relationship and a much happier dog. When a dog is calm and submissive, this is the way they want to be. You will be rewarded with a wonderful animal that is not only willing but happy to oblige and this will keep things safe and orderly.
