Hello, I'm researching the Coolie breed (if it is an actual breed) and trying to find out some information on the breed, because I'm looking for a dog breed that doesn't have millions of health problems. And can you tell me why some are called Coolies that have a 5+ generation, but then some are also called a Coolie when they are a cross? Are you a breeder? Can you tell me how your Coolie gets along with other dogs, cats, kids, adults, or other animals? Are they easy or hard to train? Are they normally hard headed or soft? Are they intense or clowns? I keep asking breeders, but none are willing to help me.
Thanks in advance!

WOW! Isn't it amazing how much they love snow? Rossco is mine and he is crazy over jumping in the snow! It is so fun to watch him play! Today we went to the beach and had fun, he rolled in some manure that he found. Yucky! You have an amazingly beautiful dog! Rossco tries to heard our cats too but they just stop and he barks at them. LOL!

I'm in love with your dog. She is so pretty. I've never heard of a Coolie before. Do they make good family companions?

What a beautiful girl Akili has grown to be. A stunner. Great to hear that she is doing so well with her herding clinics.

Love those colors--she has become even more beautiful and it sounds like she's as smart as they come! Thanks for the update--keep'em coming. I love to see the differences from puppy to adulthood--she's a keeper!

WOW!!!! That is one cute little puppy. I love the picture showing how she's grown. Please keep doing that. Her new owner must be really thrilled with her.

Aptly named! :-))))
If you don't mind me asking, what language (Reka)? She's a lovely colour. I'm not going to try to guess this one ;-) This breed seems suited to people with a very (or reasonably) active lifestyle. I have adopted a couple of German Coolie crosses from suburban shelters here in Sydney Australia. I have seen them being sold in pet shops. It's very sad to see working breeds like this ending up left in tiny back yards while their family are away all day :-((( It's terrific to read here not only about the pups, but about the sort of homes your pups go to! Thank you! :-) |
